Dr. Henry Margenau, Yale professor and eminent philosopher of science, was born in Germany in 1901 and came to the United States in 1922. He earned his A.B. from Midland Lutheran College and a M.Sc. from the University of Nebraska. He attended Yale University on a graduate fellowship in 1927, and received his Ph.D. in 1929. Wolfgang H.J. Yourgrau (1908-1979) served as Professor of History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Denver, Denver, Colo. He was associated with the University from 1963-1978. He also served as Chair of the Philosophy Dept. and was a member of the History Dept. He earned his Ph. D. in physics from Humboldt University, Berlin, Germany in 1932.
